Roger and Judy Kohlmeier
Roger and Judy Kohlmeier have been dedicated members of the Woodland community since their arrival in the late 1960s. In 1967, their connection to Woodland Memorial Hospital began when they welcomed their first son, Scott, at the hospital, followed later by a second son, Brian.
Roger’s commitment to the community extended to the local economy. In 1985, he established the Bank of Woodland. Soon after, he joined the Woodland Healthcare Foundation Board of Trustees, where he has served as the longest-tenured member. Because of his dedication to ensuring our local economy is strong and our local businesses prosper, Roger later partnered with others to open Yolo Community Bank in 1998.
Roger and Judy have consistently supported various local organizations that contribute to the culture and health of Woodland. Judy has been particularly active, volunteering for many years with the Auxiliary in both the Cancer Center and the Family Birth Center, and is now a lifetime member.
Over the years, the Kohlmeiers have been steadfast supporters of the Woodland Healthcare Foundation. Their contributions have included significant support for initiatives such as the Family Birth Center, the Every Second Counts Campaign, the Cancer and Neuroscience Campaign, and the Advanced Imaging and Surgical Services Campaign. They have also hosted numerous foundation events at their home.
Their involvement was particularly crucial during the Advanced Imaging and Surgical Services Campaign. Their experience and understanding of the community’s needs made them invaluable partners in the effort.
In recognition of their exceptional generosity and commitment, Roger and Judy Kohlmeier were awarded the first Inspiring Philanthropy Award in the history of the Woodland Healthcare Foundation. Their dedication has inspired others to give back to the community and support Woodland Healthcare.
